Abhaneri

Abhaneri is an ancient village in Rajasthan, famous for its post-Gupta or early medieval monuments. This village has contributed numerous pieces of sculpture to various museums worldwide. Abhaneri is situated on the Ahmedabad Delhi railway line, near Bandikui in Jaipur district.

Bishnoi

Khejri tree groves, deer herds, peacocks and migratory birds welcome you into a serene desert oasis- the Guda Bishnoi Village that is located at a distance of 25-kilometers from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.

Deshnok

Deshnok is a village 30km south of Bikaner along the Jodhpur road. A visit to Deshnok's fascinating temple of Karni Mata, an incarnation of Durga, is not far for squeamish. Here the holy rodents are considered to be incarnations of the storytellers, and run riot over the temple complex.

EklingJi

Eklingji is located about twelve miles to the North of Udaipur in Rajasthan. Eklingji (Shiva) whose temple is located here, is said to be the guardian deity of Mewar.

Fatehpur

Fatehpur is a historic town which was once ruled by the Muslim Nawabs. It is a treasure-trove of beautiful frescoes. The frescoes on the Devra and Singhania havelis are an outstanding combination of Indian and Western styles.

Kheechan

Banswara district was formerly a princely state ruled by Maharavals and was home to tribal Bhils, who constitute more than half of the city's population. The city was ruled by a Bhil ruler Bansia and Banswara was named after him.

In Kumbha's time the kingdom of Mewar spread from Ranthambore to Gwalior, including vast tracts of present-day Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Mewar's rulers became patrons of all that was best in Indian martial and fine arts, architecture, and learning.

Mount Abu

The lone hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu was once a part of the Chauhan kingdom, providing the Rajput kings of the region with a summer resort.

Nagaur

Nagaur was bestowed upon Balban as a jagir (ancestral property) in 1242. After that, the Sultans of Delhi, Guajarat and Marwar continuously exploited the city for possession.

Narlai

Narlai boasts of many beautiful temples dating back to different periods. Some of them are in ruins but nevertheless have their grandeur still intact.

Neemrana

Neemrana always lived an obscure existence during the early medieval period. However, around the later part of the 15th century, the village suddenly shot into prominence after it made the capital of Prithviraj Chauhan's kingdom.
