North India and Nepal Tour - Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
On your arrival at the international airport in Delhi, you will be received by me personally or by a representative of Jennifer Tours and helped to check into your hotel. Relax and stay overnight at the hotel.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 2: Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast we leave for Jaipur. The distance of 258 Km is covered in a few hours. Arrive in Jaipur in the afternoon, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening you can enjoy walking through the streets and colorful markets of Jaipur, where many kinds of handicraft items, textiles, pottery and artifacts are sold. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 3: Jaipur
After breakfast we take a tour of Jaipur. In the well-planned Pink City of Jaipur, built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, you will see the beautiful facade of the Hawa Mahal palace, the City Palace, which also contains a museum, and the Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory.
In the afternoon, we take a trip to Amer Fort, 11 Km from Jaipur where you can enjoy an elephant ride to Amer Fort. Within the fort there are many palaces and royal buildings. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 4: Pushkar - Ranthambore
After breakfast we leave for Ranthambore. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your hotel and relax. Later you can explore your surroundings and visit the nearby town of Sawai Madhopur, known for its handicrafts and paintings. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 5: Ranthambore National Park
Early morning we leave for the Ranthambore National Park where you can enjoy a thrilling jeep safari. The Ranthambore National Park is one of the best places to see tigers in India. The tigers of Ranthambore can be seen in the scrub jungle, near the lakes and resting in the shade of the monuments, in Ranthambore National Park. Apart from tigers you can also see deer, leopards, monkeys, squirrels, mongoose, wild boar, crocodiles and many species of birds, on your safari tour at Ranthambore National Park with Jennifer Tours. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 6: Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After breakfast we leave Jaipur for Agra. On the way we stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a beautiful city built by Emperor Akbar but later abandoned. There are many grand monuments in Fatehpur Sikri, including a large mosque - the Jama Masjid, a beautiful palace - the Panch Mahal, and a grand gateway - the Buland Darwaza.
Arrive in Agra in the evening and check into your hotel. Later we proceed for an Agra Tour where we will see the grand Agra Fort. The Mughal Emperor Akbar built this majestic fort, with later additions by the Emperors Jahangir and Shah Jahan. Within the fort there are grand palaces, halls of private and public audience and formal gardens. Return to your hotel where you will stay overnight.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 7: Agra - Orchha
Rise early and visit the Taj Mahal at 6:00 a.m. See the breathtaking sight of the Taj Mahal, along with the sunrise. The early morning light is perfect for taking photographs of this beautiful monument in white marble. The best example of Islamic architecture in India, the Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz Mahal, is a symbol of everlasting love, which you can see on tours to India with Jennifer Tours.
After breakfast we leave for Orchha in Madhya Pradesh. Located 199 Km from Gwalior, Orchha has a number of beautiful palaces and temples. Arrive in Orchha and check into your hotel. Later take a tour of Orchha and see the palaces Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Rai Parveen Mahal, and temples Chaturbhuj Temple, Ram Rajya Temple and Lakshminarayan Temple. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 8: Khajuraho
After breakfast we leave for Khajuraho, world famous for the Khajuraho Temples built by the Chandellas. Arrive in Khajuraho and check into your hotel. Later take a tour of the Eastern and Western groups of temples known for their erotic carvings. The Kendriya Mahadev Temple is the best known of the Khajuraho Temples. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 9: Varanasi
After breakfast we see more of the temples at Khajuraho and then leave for the airport to board the flight to Varanasi. Arrive in Varanasi, check into your hotel and relax. Varanasi is a city with a history that is more than 2500 years old. Also known as Kashi, it is believed to have been founded by King Kashya in 1200 B.C.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 10: Varanasi
Early in the morning we leave for a boat ride on the River Ganges, considered sacred by Hindus. As you float past the bathing ghats, or steps leading down to the river, you can see pilgrims taking a ritual dip, chanting prayers, and offerings flowers in worship to the holy river. Smell the incense and feel the spiritual aura of the city of Varanasi, as the sun rises over the city of temples. In the afternoon take a tour of Varanasi, and see the Sarnath Temple, where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon, the Chaukhandi Stupa, the Dhamek Stupa and the 20 meter high Ashoka Pillar, set up by the Emperor Ashoka in 258 B.C. Return to your hotel and stay overnight.

After breakfast we leave for Shivapati Nagar by car. Shivapati Nagar is a beautiful town on the Indo-Nepal border. If you travel by car we stay overnight at Shivapati Nagar and see the beautiful landscape along our route as we arrive in Kathmandu next vmorning. If you prefer to fly to Kathmandu, we can arrange your flight from Varanasi to Kathmandu. Arrive in Kathmandu in the evening, check into your hotel and stay overnight.

After breakfast we leave for Chitwan National Park. Chitwan was previously the hunting ground of the kings of Nepal. Chitwan, which means 'Heart of the Jungle' is a world heritage site and the first National Park in Nepal. Enjoy the view of the beautiful landscape during the drive to Chitwan. Arrive at Chitwan in the evening, check into your hotel and stay overnight.

After breakfast we leave for a safari in Chitwan National Park. You can enjoy an elephant safari in Chitwan National Park and see tigers, wild elephants, deer, rhinos and many more animals on your wildlife safari. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.

After breakfast we leave for Pokhara. Arrive in Pokhara in the afternoon and check into your hotel. Later you can wander through the streets and see the heritage buildings of Pokhara. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.

After breakfast we leave for a tour of Pokhara. See the beautiful lake and views of the Himalayan Mountains. Also view the monastery and heritage buildings. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.

After breakfast we leave for Kathmandu. Arrive in Kathmandu, check into your hotel and refresh yourself. In the evening feel free to go shopping and sightseeing in Kathmandu.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 17: Kathmandu
After breakfast we leave for a daylong tour of Kathmandu. We see the Hanuman Dhoka, the old royal palace, the Pashupatinath Temple a holy Hindu shrine, and the Buddhist sites of the Swayambhunath Stupa and the Boudhnath Stupa. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
North India and Nepal Tour - Day 18: Kathmandu - Delhi - Departure
After breakfast we leave for the airport to board the flight to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi, check into your hotel and relax. Then we leave for a city tour of Delhi. In Old Delhi you can see the immense sandstone Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Qutab Minar. In New Delhi you can see the Parliament House, India Gate and Bahai Temple. You can also enjoy shopping in the markets of Delhi. Leave for the airport to board your flight to your onward destination, at the end of your North India and Nepal Tour, with Jennifer Tours. |
